Campfire Safety Tips

Who does not love to get away from hectic city life and spend a few summer days in the middle of nowhere?
Keep your family (and mother nature) safe by follow these simple, but important, campfire safety tips
- Check if there are any fire restrictions
- Pick a campfire spot downwind from your tent and make sure it is at least 15 feet away
- Use existing fire pits or fire rings (if possible)
- Use three types of woods
- Tinder- dry leaves, dry grass, twigs
- Kindling- small twigs
- Fuel- large pieces of wood
- Start the fire on a leveled ground
- Do not use flammable liquids to start the fire
- Have a bucket of water ready to put the fire out in case of an emergency
- Keep the fire small and under control
- Extinguish the fire before going to bed or leaving the campsite
