Water Loss in Crawlspace

This water loss happened a few weeks ago and was caused by a broken hot water heater line in the crawlspace of a home. SERVPRO of Decatur technicians arrived to scope the loss and start the mitigation process. During the inspection process, they discovered that the entire crawl space had been affected by the water damage. All insulation in the area was affected and had to be removed since it had started falling into the crawlspace. Thirty air moves and four dehumidifiers were placed to dry the structure from below. The crew pulled the old vapor barrier and replaced it with a polyethylene vapor barrier.
