Residential Storm Damage in Decatur

After a thunderstorm caused a tree to fall on the roof of a home in Decatur, GA the rain proceeded to cause internal damage all throughout the home. Once the SERVPRO of Decatur crew scoped the loss at this home they found that luckily the carpet flooring had no elevated moisture readings and that the drywall ceiling was the only area that contained excess moisture. Once they established the damage they removed the drywall and insulation from the affected ceiling areas such as this bedroom ceiling shown in the pictures. The crew also made sure to place air movers on the impacted areas until the materials met their drying goals.
